This image is part of a project that was developed for an exhibition at the Spadina Museum in Toronto in 2008. The Spadina House was once a private shelter for a Canadian family. In the uninhabited spaces, we see the recreation of daily life and intimacy. Despite being uninhabited, there are minimal traces of the previous existence. The house in the house inserts an alternate story, thus unfolding a space within this public space. The project talks about diaspora and the way we integrate ourselves into new territories.
This series was shown at Nuit Blanche.
